The phrase "I am" holds a lot of personal meaning for me. Oftentimes my struggle to cope with the constant barrage of "I am" statements can be overwhelming. "I am not welcome, I am not good enough, I am not worthy of love, I am not the person I want to see in the mirror..." It's easy to be consumed with what I am not. When I wear these bracelets, I often say these lies out loud while looking at the words, and I make a conscious effort to claim truth in their place. I am welcome. I am good enough. I am worthy of love. I am beautiful. And all of these find their truth in Jesus-the only I AM. I look at the words over and over during the day, and after a few times His words begin to be louder than mine. Our kind, matchless God, we are committed to hearing You.
