Oh Holy Night

I like this popping in thing. Hello:)This really moved me today (I'm married to him, so yes, a little biased). It was recorded before Nicol left Selah to go into full time ministry with her husband. This is from the Christmas CD released a few weeks before Abby and Ellie were born.Who could have known what this Christmas would look like...only the Lord Himself...(remember to pause the music first:))I don't know the person who put this video together, but it is beautiful. Thank...

What A Beautiful NIght…

***updated for those of you who may care to know:)*** In answer to your questions, YES. It is the same sweater I keep wearing in like every picture I have posted. I got it for $12 and I love it. Most people would laugh at my closet...I would just rather buy books!!!!Bigmama, can you help a girl out?!?!?!I love the popping in. No stress and it takes 5 minutes. And it's all about good causes. LOVE it.I wanted to share these with you who could not be with us in person, as I discovered that many of my precious Sundays made AMAZING donations. I know many of you were there in spirit, but in...

Psalm 139

OK, so I may have underestimated the desire of the Sundays to commit themselves to scripture memory... I did a quick twitter saying I was memorizing Psalm 139 and wondered if anyone wanted to join me....well, you all are a dedicated group of ladies (and at least 4 men). I have spent the last few hours trying to get all of my emails answered and then my sweet hubby told me I should just put it on the blog. Brilliant. So glad I married that one.If you want to join us, we are memorizing the entire Psalm in 18 days! Psalm and schedule follow:)Also, I just heard from Betsy at Focus...

A Little Bling…

***UPDATE*** So many of you have asked about the frame, so I will tell you the truth. Todd began with a large piece of wood from our backyard and then he spend his evenings by candlelight, utilizing his newfound "wood whittling" skills. He also painted it and wrote the words, and even though it says "Albert Einstein," it was totally Todd's quote. We just want people to think we're smart.Either that, or we found it at a little boutique in Destin and it is manufactured by the Magnolia Lane Collection, which can be accessed HERE. Mine is the 20x20, and it is GORGEOUS in person. But seriously,...

Believe

I'm going to start by saying something that may surprise you.Growing up, my experience with several "Christians" led me to believe that I did not want anything to do with Christianity. They were judgmental, hypocritical, self-consumed, and some had pink hair (see TBN for more details).  I spent a good part of my life feeling like this was not a club I wanted to be a part of.  What I have discovered in the last several years of my life is that these people still exist in churches all over the world.  The people who don't care about the Christian walk, but they sure do care...

Audra’s Birthday (January 4th!)

Today is Audra's Birthday, and I wanted to celebrate her here with you all. As most of you know by now, she was Audrey's namesake, and we are going into our 13th year of being "BFF'S" (hence the eyebrow issues in some of the earlier photos in the slideshow...)A little about our friendship. When we met, we were in Buffalo New York (although we had both started college at 2 different schools a few minutes away from each other in Ohio:)).  She was actually my T.A. at Buffalo State even though we were the same year, and the first conversation I recall having with her involved the type of...

The Mourning and the Dancing

I think I may miss posting this on the actual day by a few minutes (update-actually it's 2 FULL days late and a 3 FULL days of working on it). Many would call them "glitches." I call them glitches as well, I just call them by his name; satan. I don't know that I have EVER sensed spiritual warfare as I have in the past few days. The internet would go out EXACTLY when I would try to post, videos would literally disappear, and on and on. In fact I think my computer just bit the dust. (This was just confirmed while Todd talked to an "expert" on the phone just now...please pray I can retrieve...

BIGMAMA FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!

The scarf video is up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You need to go and you need to watch. It may change your life. Melanie, I adore you, friend. Thank you for caring about changing the world one scarf at a time. And Sundays, remember to hop over and thank her for stepping out of her comfort zone to propel us into a new year of cool. I cannot help but love this woman. Why, you ask?Because she is giving fashion tips while a deer head hangs next to her on the wall. LOVE. IT.CLICK...

Scarves and Prayers

I'm always talking about my friend Pete who pastors Cross Point Church (where I did my Monday night service) and his wife Brandi. They are good friends of ours, and I am so blessed to get to spend 2 mornings a week with Brandi in different "mommy" Bible studies.I must add that several weeks ago, her hair looked totally different. If you want to know the full story, hop over to her blog, but let's just say it involved the following:1. A Christmas Eve church service2. Those little tiny candles.....It's worth reading.I'm posting this (from her blog) because I thought you all might need a...
